and we are an authorized Dealer / Builder for
Katahdin Cedar Log Homes from Oakfield, Maine.
Katahdin produces a quality home package from
Northern White Cedar which has been first air
dried and then kiln-dried to a moisture content of
12% - 14% when it leaves the mill. This allows
building a Log Home with full log gables that will
have virtually no settlement. In climates where
necessary we can also provide an insulation
package as high as R-23.
We can provide anything from a basic Log
Package to a complete Log Home. We offer several
selections of Log styles, sizes, finishes, and
corner details to create the Log Home of your
dreams. At Hart’s Desire Log Homes, and Katahdin
Cedar Log Homes, our main concern is to not only
provide a quality product, but to assist in any
way possible to see that your Dream Home is
complete.
Harts Desire Log Homes will help with any
or all of the process of planning and building
your new home. We have 30 floor plans in our new
catalog, and over 600 more plans available. These
plans can be changed or customized in many ways if
necessary, to fit your personal needs, and be
unique to you. We also offer custom design from
your personal sketch of your Dream Home. Hart’s
